Kaye Martin is an independent healthcare reimbursement consultant with over 26 years experience in the medical device manufacturing industry, with a focus on ostomy and wound care. Her nursing background allows her to integrate clinical expertise into the business environment. She began her reimbursement career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, ConvaTec Division in 1992, and her responsibilities included securing favorable Medicare coverage, coding and payment for existing and pipeline product groups; monitoring Medicaid coverage for existing product lines, identifying potential opportunities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. Kaye participated in multiple professional and trade association public policy committees.

Kaye interfaced with the US sales force and developed materials that outlined payment methodologies to help maximize sales efforts. She developed and delivered sales training modules that identified reimbursement strategies for hospitals, home health, skilled nursing facilities and DME suppliers. Kaye developed and delivered external education programs on Medicare regulations and reimbursement issues at Regional and National Conferences of healthcare professionals. Kaye was an ‘expert’ speaker on health policy and reimbursement systems for specialty healthcare professionals during their course training; she regularly participated in the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses (WOCN) training programs at Cleveland Clinic, the Wicks Education and MD Anderson.
